Skate with the Seattle Thunderbirds on New Year's Day!
Tuesday, January 1, 12 - 2 p.m.
Kick off 2013 by skating with local pros! Members of the Seattle Thunderbirds will be at the Chaplins Bellevue Volkswagen Ice Arena on January 1 from 12 to 2 p.m.
Holiday ticket packages for Thunderbirds hockey games are now available. Visit their website for more information and a complete schedule of upcoming games and events.
Free Skate Mondays compliments of Bank of America!*
Show your Bank of America debit or credit card at the ice arena to receive
two free skate admissions and skate rentals on Mondays. Limit of two admissions

*Note: Free Skate Monday Passes are no longer available at Bank of America Banking Centers. In addition, we strongly encourage "Free Skate Mondays compliments of Bank of America" customers to consider redeeming the offer on the following Mondays: November 26, December 3, December 10, December 17 or January 7. We anticipate long lines of up to two hours all day on Monday, December 24 and Monday, December 31 related to school closures for the holidays.

Free Lesson Wednesdays
Learn to skate from the pros on select Wednesdays: November 28, December
5, 12, and January 9
Join Castle Ice Arena instructors for free ice skating lessons from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and professional skating coach Lisa Viereck and staff for complimentary skating lessons from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on select Wednesdays listed above. Lessons are geared toward entry level and beginning skaters (those able to stand independently on a pair of skates on the ice).
In conjunction with early school closures on Wednesdays within the Bellevue School District, the rink will be open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays when school is in session. Normal $10 admission rate applies for each skater (includes skate rental).
Castle Ice Arena is located in the Renton Highlands and can be easily accessed by I-405 and I-90. Castle Ice Arena offers birthday party packages, hockey, broomball, public skating and a year round learn to skate program which runs in 7 week series. Visit castleice.com for more information.
Stroller Skate Thursdays
Parents and young ones can share some fun on the ice! Skate and push a stroller
around the rink from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on select Thursdays: November 29, December
6, 13 and January 10. During peak season (December 20, 27 and January 3) stroller
skating hours will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Older children
are welcome to skate and accompany the stroller-riding younger ones. Normal
$10 admission rate applies for each skater (includes skate rental) while

Late Skate Fridays and Saturdays
The rink is open until 11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday night, November
23 - January 12, for the late night crowd! Beginning Dec. 19 through Jan.

on December 24 and 25).
*Note: Due to maximum occupancy limitations and skate availability, Saturdays at the Chaplins Bellevue Volkswagen Ice Arena (open to close) are often at capacity. Please come prepared for longer lines and wait times.
STAR 101.5 Family Skate Day
Sunday, December 9, 12 - 2 p.m.
Join STAR 101.5 at the Chaplins Bellevue Volkswagen Ice Arena for the annual Family Skate Day! Jen and Leonard of the Kent and Alan Morning Show will hit the ice with you to join in on the fun and holiday cheer! Enjoy free treats from Jamba Juice and New York Cupcakes while supplies last.
