Ballet Theatre presents The
Nutcracker
International Ballet Theatre returns to the Theatre at Meydenbauer Center
in Bellevue with their annual production of The
Nutcracker! Choreographed
by Russian Ballet Master Vera Altunina, IBT's performance of The Nutcracker is packed full of classical ballet, exquisite costuming and theatrical pageantry. The Nutcracker features the music of Tchaikovsky and a cast of memorable
characters who are appealing to audiences of all ages. This season’s production
features 80 talented artists and is a great holiday tradition meant to be
shared with the entire family. Evening performance begin at 7:30 p.m. Matinees
begin at 2:00 p.m.

December 17: Meydenbauer Center presents Magical
Strings - A Celtic Yuletide
For over 34-years the internationally recognized Boulding family has gathered
to perform their Yuletide concert. This year's concert features three generations
of musicians and has become a warm and welcome tradition at Meydenbauer during
the holiday season. This all ages festive family performance of Celtic music,
Irish dance, story telling and processionals is a magnificent program to
get away for a few hours and truly relax during this hectic time of year.

December 28-30: Ballet Bellevue presents Handel's Messiah, the Opéra-Ballet
Ballet Bellevue presents the Northwest premiere
of Handel's Messiah. This unique production is designed to bring ballet and
opera together on the same stage. Following the success of two ballet companies
on the East Coast, Ballet Bellevue is excited to host this extraordinary
work. It will feature original choreography by Eastside native Sayoko Knode
highlighting the strength of our company dancers. This production will be
accompanied by a live orchestra under the direction of guest conductor, Dr.
Linda Gingrich.
