November 25 - 27: Bellevue Youth Theatre presents A Christmas Carol
Come and see this traditional retelling of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, performed BYT-style. Follow Ebenezer Scrooge as he is unwillingly taken through his past, present and potential future. This ultimately uplifting tale with music and dance will leave you ready for the holiday season.

December 4: Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra presents The Magic of Mistletoe

December 9-11, 16-18 & 21-23: International Ballet Theatre presents The Nutcracker

Ring in the holiday season with The Nutcracker. IBT's classical production features brilliant sets and costumes from the Ukraine and principal dancers from Russia. Passed from generations for more than a century, The Nutcracker ballet preserves the classical artistry first created by Tchaikovsky and Petipa in St. Petersburg in 1892. IBT performs the ballet in its traditional Russian style with all of the pageantry, beauty and elegance.

December 19: Meydenbauer Center presents Magical Strings - A Celtic Yuletide

For over the 33-years, the internationally recognized Boulding family has gathered to perform their Yuletide concert. This year's concert features three generations of musicians and has become a warm and welcome tradition at Meydenbauer during the holiday season.

December 28-29: Ballet Bellevue presents The Sleeping Beauty
Ballet Bellevue opens its 16th Anniversary Season with The Sleeping Beauty, accompanied by live orchestra in three performances: Dec 28 (7:00 p.m.) and Dec 29 (2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.). First produced by Ballet Bellevue in February 1996, this beloved fairy tale ballet has over the years become a signature piece for the Eastside's own professional ballet company. Many of the original costumes will be worn for this special anniversary production.

December 31: Seattle Choral Company presents Carmina Burana

For decades music lovers have thronged to concert halls to ring in the New Year in the style of Old Vienna and programs of Strauss waltzes. On December 31, 1991, the Seattle Choral Company began marking the occasion by presenting some very different but equally popular music: Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Join Maestro Freddie Coleman, the Seattle Choral Company, guest instrumentalists, and soloists in a concert celebration to ring in the New Year.
